How to do industrial without being cold?

We all love a brick wall and some Edison bulbs hanging from the beams.

The trick to making an industrial space feel welcoming and inviting is organic touches. Greenery, candles, and being selective with the metal touches is important. Industrial can go steampunk easily by overwhelming the space with mechanical items or too much metal.

Making sure to have a cohesive color of lights is also important. A mixture of yellow and white lights is not great for any space.

Using organic touches like wood, plants, and leather makes the space feel warmer and more inviting. You can always add bold colors, but to stay with the industrial feeling, most people will avoid bold colors and just bring in various materials. As easy as it is to lean heavy into the grey tones, warmer colors will bring the environment from sterile and cookie-cutter to comfortable and welcoming.
